On the menu, there is a hummus plate with roasted vegetables and grilled bread and so we thought, if nothing else, we could have a bit of a snack. Luckily, we had a server who had just turned vegan a week ago after watching the documentary What the Health. It turns out the bread on the hummus plate isn't vegan, but she suggested a vegan pizza, which wasn't on the menu.
The pizza was great, with roasted tomatoes, artichoke hearts, peppers (hot and green), as well as copious amounts of olives.
Don't go to The Heights for a great vegan dining experience, as you'll have limited options. But head out for a drink and the great view of downtown Toledo and the Maumee River. Enjoy the hip decor, something you'd see in a larger city. But rest assured that you'll be able to get a good vegan pizza. And enjoy the view!
