We were strolling around Levis Commons and saw a sign outside Schakolad Chocolate Factory advertising vegan and gluten-free Halloween desserts. We went inside and were well-rewarded.
Vegan chocolates are all clearly labeled and there were 10 different varieties when we went, ranging from dark chocolate walnut clusters, a hot pepper chocolate and chocolate covered pretzels. We bought two of each and will be sampling them over the next few day(s)! There were also some other vegan dark chocolate specialties. We bought a dark chocolate cigar and look to “smoke” that soon!
Vegans know that dark chocolate is a healthier option and often (but not always) milk free. Schakolad had lots to choose from and would be a great place to shop for an after-dinner treat or a gift basket for a friend. Our only disappointment was that there weren’t any vegan caramels. We’ve had to turn to specialty stores online for those treats.
Schakolad makes it easy to shop for vegans: clearly labeled with lots of varieties. Every thing we’ve tasted so far has been good. Check this place out!
